Ari probably wasn't supposed to be out here. In fact, with all certainty, Ariana Jada Willis could say she was emphatically not supposed to be within a million miles of here, or something like that anyways. Whatever it was, she didn't care. It didn't matter to her that the forces of evil were gathering just a little ways away and as a fairy she wasn't supposed to get involved, she was supposed to stay in their magic woods, where her parents and brother could keep an eye on her and she could stay out of any real trouble. But trouble, the type she was the cause of, was what Ari loved best. Like right now there was a group of vampires out hunting the monsters that lived in these dark woods. That was why Ari was here in the first place, because a group on near invincible people going out to hunt creatures that probably couldn't kill them meant Ari had plans for them. Plans that involved them meeting a few of the more ferocious of the beasts. Normally, flying or running through the trees of the Black Forest was a bad idea, a very bad idea, and unless you were immortal, you'd usually end up dead long before you made it this far. But Ari was special, that's what she always said. She was sure Thatulo favored her above all the rest. She was sure of this, the way she had found the ever so soft boots on her birthday, and ever since then she had yet to not outrun pursuers. Like the beasts that caught scent of her out here. Even now she heard the sounds of something big as it caught a whiff of her. With a grin she picked up her pace, running a bit faster as she darted through the trees, weaving in and out. A glance over her shoulder told her it had deliciously huge fangs, dripping with saliva. It was a real monster, and not to far ahead was the hunting party, expecting something far smaller than this. With a characteristic giggle, she took off up into the trees, flying to pick up more speed and get safely out of the way to watch. Oh, what a sight it was, she thought as she landed lightly high in a tree. Getting to see the unsuspecting hunters get a real challenge. The looks on their faces when they first saw it, priceless. Silently they moved through the dark trees, their light footfalls barely registering in the night air as the forest sang around them. Between the shrieks of birds, chirping of insects and cries of beasts within the blackness it was almost impossible to even notice the movement of the small party as they moved. In fact, unless you were looking for them it was impossible to tell these beasts from the others that belonged within the Dark Woods in the first place. However, the beasts moved with purpose and intent as they continued their silent sprint. That night they hunted larger prey than deer to feast upon, that night they had darker things in store.
The group was in fact a war band being lead by David, their goal was to find and massacre the Vampiric party that was moving through the very same trees that evening. The Wolves didn't know what it was the leeches were after, and they didn't much care. All they knew was that the group had broken away from the larger main Vampiric force and this was there chance to strike a blow. And of course, anytime the mention of bloodshead upon Vampires was mentioned it was impossible to sway a Wolf to any other course of action.
The group of six wolves, all of them in Human form and all of them dashing at speeds that Human eyes would have trouble even seeing, let alone moving at. As they neared the Vampiric party ahead of them, the Wolves found their hearts beginning to beat faster, pumping adrenaline through their bodies; the adrenaline was part of what gave the Wolves such a fierce reputation in combat as malicious monsters that even the darkest of beasts fled from. As the scent of the Vampires became heavier on the air, the war band found themselves moving quicker as excitement and thrill overtook their bodies; as the lust for combat, blood, and war surged through them.
Then they all suddenly stopped. In silence they dropped to their stomachs, bodies pressing against the forest-floor. Not even a single noise escaped the group as they merged into the darkness, effectively disappearing. After a few moments soft crunching could be heard, the sound of twigs snapping beneath boots. The noise grew louder and more frequent as the group of Vampiric Raiders drew closer and closer to the Wolves that lingered in the shadows. It was quickly established that the Vampires numbered nine, three more than themselves, not that it would be a problem. The Wolves had the advantage of surprise and skills equal to that of Vampires. The leeches had no idea they were marching into what could only be described as a 'justified massacre'.
As the Vampires drew closer and closer David could feel the tension and anticipation filling the air as his packmates struggled to keep the desire for war locked away within themselves. And then in an instant, and without a single noise, the Wolves rose in unison to launch a vicious blow directly into the exposed, unprotected, and completely unprepared flank of the Vampiric force. In a heartbeat David gripped a Vampire be the throat, his hand snaking between the gaps in his armor where helmet and breastplate allowed enough room to be exposed. Sinking nailed fingers into the Vampires throat, the Wolf gave a savage yank shreading the mans trachea and vocal chords. The Vampire fell to it's knees, gasping and choking on blood. However, within a few seconds a sword swung by another Wolf lopped the creatures head off, ending it's pitiful existence.
Twisting upon his heel, David thrust his palm savagely into the iron breastplate of another Vampire, his hand crushing and denting the armor inwards painfully upon the creatures chest. As the Vampire hissed in pain, David tugged his dagger from it's sheath at his ankle, the wickedly sharp blade gleaming in the moonlight of the night. With practiced perfection the Wolf ducked, his movements easily dodging the swinging arc of a powerfully swung sword. Rising up quickly, David brought the dagger across in the powerful thrust that sheared through the armor around the narrow slit forming an eye hole. The blade hammered home deep within the Vampires skull, ending it's life in a moment. Ripping the blade out with a sickening snap and fleshy rip, David turned on his heel to look for whatever approached him next.
His eyes leaping with joy at the battle, at the blood. It was enough to feed the animal within himself, it was enough to wake the Wolf up; it was enough to bring the beast out.

Ariana frowned as she spotted the hunting party. They weren't being all smooth and soft-footed and ready to fight the monster. No. They were, she let out a shrill shriek of disappointment. Something else had got there first. Some other monsters, not from the woods. She knew the monsters of the woods, she teased them, she ran from them, they didn't do things like carry knives to gut vampires with. “Trouble, trouble, boils and bubbles.” she murmured to herself, taking a low pass to see better what was happening, flinching as some blood splattered in her direction. “Not playing fair, not giving warning, but it means the monster smells the blood. Monsters like blood, yes they do.” She nodded to herself, going high into the bare branches again, finding one far out of reach to sit on just in time as the beast made its way into sight. Venomous fangs, glinting in the pale light of the moon as it's thin forked tongue darted in and out of it's lips. Now she was in the moonlight she could see it better. A spirit naga, with the head of a fanged human and the body of a snake, only much bigger. Oh, this would be wicked, and she was glad she was so high up as it went hissing toward the scent of blood. It was heading right toward one of the big things that had killed vampires. She took a closer look, trying to figure out what would dare go against the vampire hunters, darting carefully lower in the branches. These monsters had weapons. Sharp ones, ones for tearing and ripping and, above all, killing. She frowned, stopping her decent as the naga went in to attack, picking off an injured one a vampire had managed to get with one of their own blades. The venomous fangs easily pierced it's hide, silently killing it in seconds. She smirked. This was more like it. A fighter that fought with nothing but natural ability, and the weapons nature gave it. Like the vampires, their weapons didn't often kill prey, only injured it so they could kill it faster with their fangs. Oh, it was lovely seeing an animal fighting, no metal, no blades, darting through the darkness on the forest floor to get another of those who hadn't been quick enough in killing the vampires. Now it was heading for the big one, the one that had killed the most, and gotten the least hurts. She licked her lips, trying to lean down from her branch to get a better view. “Got to fight again, got to be careful, don't get bit~” she whispered the words lightly to herself. “Not even elf magic helps with the naga, the naga's deadly as can be, poison, poison the blood, wounds always bleeding. Quick poison, fast poison, not even vampires let it bite~” she flipped on the branch, falling forward enough to go upside down, using one beat of her wings to continue the momentum and get back right side up. “Will you get bit, monster man?” she giggled lightly, her voice still light and barely there, floating in whispers and airy giggles. “Bet it'd like to taste you, to change your blood for it's venom, start your heart by biting your neck.” She didn't know a lot about the creature she had lead out of the forest, but knew the few vampires that had seen her before had mentioned the woman headed snake, beware and not to let it bite her, or she wouldn't be dropping anymore scorpions in their slave pens. Why it's bites were deadly she didn't know, and she didn't care enough to ask. The warnings had stuck, and made her see it as venomous, glistening with poison on it's teeth. And so she respected it, staying high in the trees away from it, the ground far too easy for it to wrap around you and kill you. She may not have had much fear while on the run, but now it had the taste of blood in it, it could smell it too. Even her with her blessed boots could not for sure run away fast enough with it having fresh blood in it's nostrils, so she would play it safe, staying in the trees, and barely let the giggles she couldn't hold in be audible in the heavy air.
