STRENGTHS .
[.x.] Unnatural Abilities: Nero has strength and endurance to make him capable of out-lasting most he comes across in combat. Wounds heal almost instantly after being inflicted, the pain caused by them barely enough to register within his mind. The man is able to cleave through armor, shield, sword, flesh and bone as if it were merely made of paper, his strength being increased dramatically from the weapon in his possession. Able to go toe to toe with Vampires or Werewolves and walk away the victor, the Man is not one to be trifled with or taken lightly merely because of his scent as a Human.
[.x.] Combat Experience and Skill: Nero has seen his share of war; the battlefield feels more like a home to him than anywhere else. Serving as everything from a common infantry unit all the way up to Field Commander and even General towards the end of his career. Tactics are something he understands, the notion of killing your enemy in the most efficient manner possible is a simple principle he gladly leads his life following.
[.x.] Swordsmanship: When it comes to fighting, few exist that can say they move as if Othello himself smiles down upon them. Nero is one that can. When a blade is put into his hands he is said to move in such a way that it is more of a dance than it is a fight to him. It is true that in his entire life, both unnatural and natural, he has yet to be defeated sword to sword by any opponent; and all those that have dared to make such a challenge no longer breathe to talk of it.
[.x.] Cruelty and Merciless Nature: Although many would look upon these traits as a weakness and curse, Nero see's them as his strongest abilities. The way he looks upon people, the way he sees those around him; everyone is expendable. In the grand game to keep himself alive, to keep serving those that control him, and to keep doing Keggor's bidding; anyone can die for these causes. Woman, children, the old; no one is above Nero's blade. He'll kill anyone he has to, and he'll revel in it. His lust for combat, for blood are legendary; the knowledge being common that to fall before him is to promise only death. It is known better that it's better to die fighting Nero than to become his servant. The life as such is violent, painful, and short. Only being truly capable of fighting off Nero are safe from his limitless malice and hatred. Only creatures that can fight him off.
WEAKNESSES .
[.x.] Arrogant to a Fault: Nero believes that he has become more than any Human before him has. For that reason he looks down upon all that are his own kind, even those that carry titles mean nothing to him. What is a King if his entire Realm are creatures that can be cut down with ease? Vampires and Wolves he mocks for their pathetic reliance on the sun and moon to define their existence. Elves and Fairies he looks at as creatures from tales to weave for children. Sorcerer's and magic wielders are the only beings that give him pause.
[.x.] Zero Magical Knowledge: When it comes to finding a successful way of combating Nero, magic has to be the only way that carries some weight of plausible victory. The man has absolutely no knowledge of the arcane, and because of that he is nearly powerless in combating it. His best hope is avoiding spells and to rely on the Scythe to continue powering his body long enough he can reach whatever Witch is pestering him and tear it limb from limb.
[.x.] Slave: No matter how strong, no matter how cunning and dangerous he grows one thing will always remain certain; his servitude. Nero is incapable of leaving the Necromancer who has enslaved him because it is through this Sorcerer that he gains his immortality. Should he turn his back upon Valek, should Valek unweave the spell surrounding Nero the Human would cease to exist within moments. One hundred and seventy years would put itself upon his body, destroying him in a heartbeat. It is for this simple reason that Nero serves his Master without question.
[.x.] The Crimson Book: The small leather-bound journal is said to be blood-red in color, though it's power far more than it looks to be. Within the pages of the journal are letters written in such black ink that they look as if they were written in the blood of Keggor himself. For those talented enough in the arcane magic and rights it would be easy to locate the spell hidden within and use it, and to use the spell is said to unlock Nero's soul that the pages contain. If Nero were to once again regain his soul the effects would be devastating. The screams of the countless he has killed that are locked away within the scythe would drive him insane alone, topped by the guilt for his crimes and the horrors of his existence it is easy to say that reading from the Crimson Book would be the end of Nero.
[.x.] Dangerously Mad: Simply put, Nero isn't all there in the head. His madness is dangerous in it's existence. Hallucinations that haunt him loom around every corner, the never-ending whispers within his mind a constant reminder; however, he has found salvation within his world. Through a form of unnatural purity, a sense of unholy baptism, Nero has learned that service, sacrifice and death in the name of Keggor offers some sort of shelter. It is for that reason that Nero serves the darker side of existence with a zealots fanaticism. He has no care for his own life when it comes to serving Keggor. Killing in His name, slaughtering in His honor, enslaving for His greatness, and burning the world for His amusement are all morals pillars Nero has grown to live his life upon.
QUIRKS .
-Chews on his lower lip almost all the time.
-Whenever no serving in active duty he can be found almost always within Vulrik's Tower
-Whenever someone is brave enough to challenge him to a duel, to single combat, he always takes their weapon as a trophy upon their defeat.
TALENTS . Nero has never lost a duel in his life. Othello is said to bless Nero, following the Human in his exploits with a smile and always a blessing. Despite handing his soul over to Keggor and despite serving the Dark God every moment he can, Othello is still said to look upon the Human with pride. Othello was the first God Nero had ever worshiped, back when being a Soldier was his one and only duty. As the man fell deeper and deeper into the darkness that was the fold of Keggor, Othello never forgot the man. As Nero grew in strength and skill, the God of War continued to look upon the man as one of his proudest followers. Nero's desire for battle, his lust for glory and his obsession with cheating death all things the God of War praised. So perhaps his talent is to have the favor of a God, or perhaps it is the skill he possesses which people say can only come to being if it were a Gift from the Gods. What people chose to believe is theirs alone.
DEITY .
-Othello
-Keggor
ITEMS .
-Heaven's Scythe- The weapon is one of both legend and lore. It is true that Nero is one of the first in nearly six centuries to wield the blade without falling victim to it's darkness and slipping into madness. It is thought that he keeps most of his sanity through matching his control of the Heaven's Scythe and serving Keggor in whatever way he can. The weapon is nearly seven feet long and forged of metals and wood not of this world, weighing nearly one hundred pounds.
-Drevan- The sword earned it's name while in the service to another Swordsman many centuries ago. Drevan had been a man who had sold his soul to a Necromancer as well, and in return he'd been asked to slaughter a village and sacrifice all of them to the dark God Keggor. When the man had refused, the Necromancer had cast his soul into a small onyx jewel and had the jewel embedded into the hilt of the longsword. All these years later Nero now carries the sword, Drevan, at his hip. The sword now commits acts of horrible nature and cruelty, more than one innocent falling victim to the razor's edge of the sword. Being nearly two and a half feet in length, the blade is carried masterfully by Nero and when used in combat it is said to give an aura of darkness off, of despair and defeat to all those that show fear before it.
