Samantha thought about how boring her life was. She didn't have many true friends. Acquaintances yes, but not friends. Every aspect of her life was dull. She needed something, or somebody to change it up. Samantha longed for a little fun. Something other than working at this bar.
Samantha drained the last of a weak, brown-haired human's blood. She carried the glass out to the counter. She collected the money from the thirsty vampire, and said with an uninterested tone to her voice, "Enjoy."
Not many vampires lingered in the dark bar. The few that were left started to fidget, and left. Samantha was left alone, except for the creatures in the back. All was silent, unless you count their soft whimpers. But that only made Sam smile a twisted smile. One she would never let her brother see.
Samantha waited behind the counter for any other customer wanting a drink. She hoped someone decent would come. Somebody to keep her company.
She sighed. This job was so boring. All she did was wait, and fill blood into cups. At least the pay was decent. But she was one of the only few that worked here, so here hours were long.
Samantha walked to the back and watched the little unworthy creatures squirm. The fear on their faces brought joy to Sam. She looked at one in particular, a small boy, a fairy. He fidgeted under her glare. She stepped towards him, stalking him. Once she was right next to him, she drained his blood. How good that was! Samantha walked back out to the counter and put some money into the cash register to pay for all that blood. An evil smile spread across her face, and lingered there for awhile.
