YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTGildaSongrat NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Gilda was surprised with how her life was at fifty years old. She had three beautiful children and a lovely kingdom. But even as things seemed happy, wonderful, she was troubled, between making sure Lyra was ready to take the throne and the rumours of dark powers rising she did wish she had someone to talk to. It had been years since her husband had passed, before she had things to occupy her time with, now, she didn’t have much and with Lyra taking over the throne even little. She stood on the balcony looking down at the court, she could see so much from here, to the square where mechanics sold things, the musicians, the acrobats, this truly was a unique city. It was her city, and it was growing time to pass it on. But where did that leave her, what was she going to do with her time other then set up her son with women, he needed one.
Gilda leaned forward a little resting her arms on the railing her wings stretching as she did this her long gown lightly dusting the grown as she watched the people below. A smile crept to her face, memories of long ago how she would be down there, a teenager running about checking out everything, and no one acting like she was a big deal. The dancing in festivals, the drinking, the general lack of concern of how people saw her, but that was the past and now she had to watch what she does. She huffed a little blowing at her bangs. Gilda stood when she heard someone walk in and turned to face who it was a smile on her face and her mind off with memories of long wanted times.

this moment is perfect - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lula headed up the stairs of the castle. She had her sketchbook and a few pieces of charcoal in her hand, she wanted to sketch the Fairy Kingdom, and she knew one of the best views would be from the balcony. She had gathered the long skirts of her pale pink gown in her left hand, making it easier for her to climb the stairs. Her green wings were folded elegantly at her back like pale green lace and they fluttered slightly as she got to the top of the stairs. Not nearly enough to get her off the ground, but it was just something she did automatically.
As she walked out over to the balcony she saw that her mother was standing on the balcony, looking out over the kingdom. Lula smiled as her mother turned around to look at her. "Hello mother,"
She said in a soft voice, walking out onto the balcony, her skirts rustling as she took the delicate steps. She placed the sketchpad and pieces of charcoal on a small table just inside the door. There was a slight breeze in the air she rustled her wings again as she walked out over to the balcony railing. As she looked on the kingdom she sighed, from here she could see the forest, where she would meet Elarik later that night. She missed him so much it almost hurt to breath sometimes. She sighed as she looked out at the tops of the trees. She put her elbows on the edge of the balcony and rested chin in her hands. Lula sighed and blinked a few times slowly, her green eyes dreamy and unfocused. Her lacy, pale green wings opened up, beating a few times slowly as she stretched them. Already she had partially forgotten that her mother was there, something that Lula did quite often.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - please don't go away notes: sorry it's so short, didn't know what to make her do tag: gilda words: 308

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTGildaSongrat NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Gilda’s smile never faded when she saw it was Lula. All her children were blond hair much like their father, she saw a lot of him in them. “Hello my dear.”
Came the affectionate greeting back as she watched Lula go and start to draw. Gilda always thought Lula was artistic, she encourage that, help nurture it, she did think she was close with her children, that they could tell her anything and they would be able to work it out. The idea of secrets did not sit well with the queen since she spent so much time balancing work and a family as well and keeping close to them. Gilda though also knew her children wanted space at times, she felt at time unwanted or out of place an old woman who just got in the way. Even now as Lula looked out on the town Gilda had a feeling the blond forgot that she was there all together. It broke her heart a little. The Queen rested her hands on the stone once more looking down at the people, her smile faded a little as new thoughts entered her mind. She looked to Lula once more, a smile making its way back to her lips. “How are you today?” She asked trying to make the conversation keep going, to not just leave them both in silence. “Anything interesting going on in the life of Lula?” Her voice was kept soft, loving. She was a ittle out of the loop with Lula and Link, she was not sure if either of them had found a suitor, she had been busy and felt guilty putting effort into her oldest daughter that she worried she was not giving everyone else time as well. [/blockquote][/blockquote] WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WE LOST CONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WELOSTCONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WE LOST CONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE •tags• Lula •status• compleate •comments• should get better •word count• 291 •lyrics• DIE TONIGHT, LIVE FOREVER by InnerPartySystem •credit• AMANDA THE PIRATE * @ CAUTION !

this moment is perfect - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lula was still thinking about Elarik, about the last time she had seen him. It had been night, deep in the forest, the moon and the stars had been the only light. She thought about the kisses they had shared, and about his strong arms around her, holding her, protecting her. The memories made her wings flutter slightly, a distant and dreamy look on her face. She loved Elarik, it didn't bother her that he was a vampire, but she knew that it would matter to other people, like her mother. Especially her mother. Lula knew that if her mother found out about Elarik, well that would be a disaster. Lula would be in the most trouble in the history of fairies, and even worse, she might never see Elarik again. That was why she had to make sure that her secret would never be discovered. Lula didn't like lying, but it was better than the alternative.
Gilda's words snapped Lula back to reality, and made her realize that she had forgotten her mother was there. "Oh, I'm... fine."
She quickly stuttered, not wanting admit that she had forgotten her mother was there. She went and picked her sketchbook and a piece of charcoal. The fairy flipped past a few sketches she had of the kingdom, the castle, the forest, and a few others she had drawn from her mind, coming to a blank sheet. She began to sketch some lines. At first it appeared to be nothing, but very soon it became evident what she was drawing, a dragon, it's wings outspread as it perched on a stony outcrop. Lula had never seen a dragon, but she had heard stories, and she could imagine what one would actually look like. At her mother's other question Lula looked up and away from her drawing. She met her mother's gaze and smiled softly. "No," She said, "Just concentrating on my art." Her mother had always been supportive of Lula's artistic abilities, encouraging her to pursue it, but recently Lula hadn't seen much of her mother. Gilda had been too busy preparing Lyra for when her sister took over the throne, and she and Link had been the ones left out. Lula didn't mind, as if meant that her mother was less likely to find out about Elarik, though sometimes she worried about Link not getting the attention. Her brother was so much of a lone person, and sometimes she wondered if it was because their mother was queen, and therefore had duties other than being their mother. That was one reason why Lula was glad Lyra would be queen and not her. Lula would never want to have to put anything, especially politics, over her family.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - please don't go away notes: tag: gilda words: 477
