I'm pretty, what do I deserve?
i feel pretty, to walk out the door.
Jade is an interesting one to say the least. She's one of those girls that would sooner throw a punch (or in her case, a dagger) than give someone the opportunity to prove their good intentions. She has issues letting others, and harbors a great deal of secrets. But, that doesn't mean that if you say a few kind words to her in the beginning of a conversation that she will start falling over all you. She's skeptical. Sometimes, the skepticism outweighs her intuition, but... She always thought that it would be better to be paranoid and alone than with friends and dead.
She's a bit of a crazy one as well, with an off kilter sense of humor. She doesn't like the 'straight and narrow' kind of people. She tends to toy with them and make them think. However, there have been a few of these people that have warranted her respect, due to just being incredibly dedicated people, and hard workers.
Once her loyalty is gained, she is a great deal different. She's loyal to a fault, and can even sometimes be... affectionate. Strange, no?
I wonder when pretty's gonna bleed.
My monster has all the time that he needs.
• Jade has an almost unhealthy tendency to avoid those of her own kind. She has her own reasons for wanting to avoid pack life, but sometimes feels drawn to kindred spirits. She'll never admit to such feelings, however, and scoff in the fact of anyone that attempts to force her into a 'family/pack' situation. She "prefers" to be alone.
• Jade needs a partner in crime. No matter how strong someone, they're always going to need a best friend, or someone that would be by her side no matter what it was that she was doing. Or, simply someone that just wouldn't judge her for her past, or the life that she currently leads.
• A buddy to talk shop with. Jade, as I'm sure, most have noticed has an unhealthy obsession with her weapons. Perhaps, she could meet a merchant, or someone that creates blades? THEY'D BE BFFS FOREVER! ♥
-- Faction doesn't matter to Jade, although she is really skeptical of other Werelings.
-- No sticks in the mud, unless you want them to be thoroughly corrupted.
So I come home to feel ugly again.
Feels better alone, pretty ugly again.
• Jade doesn't necessarily look for love. She looks for a warm body to warm her bed at night, and someone to pretend that she's happy with. She's far too broken (in her own eyes) to even contemplate dragging others into her messed up life. She'd never admit to being selfless in that regard, but, that's the only real explanation that she can give that is truthful as to why she's alone.
• Jade has always seen herself as ugly. She's a bit of a gangly girl, with boyish curves. In her own eyes, she has never seen herself as desirable. A part of her craves to be like the rest of the girls... Beautiful and wanted. But no one has ever seemed to want to make her feel that way.
• A companion is truly what she needs. But it'll take some coaxing, and a great deal of baggage. We're talking exorbitant amounts of time spent developing said relationship.
-- She needs a relationship that will develop slowly.
-- She needs someone that will accept her for who she is, and maybe share a few traits.
-- She'll be fighting it every step of the way.
-- One night stands are more than likely, although anything more will require persistence.
If you come back around, I may not let you in.

• Her brother, Aidan Gabriel Vaux (123). Her brother, is quite possibly, the only person that knows why Jade truly left her home and her family. They had always been close, but something had happened between them that forced her to push him away, and run. He blames himself for the life that she leads, thinking that he was the one that drove her away from the 'righteous path.' He's a rather stand up guy, if not a bit naive. He only wants what is best for his older sister. His father was never truly around, so he took on the role of protector... Even though Jade hated him for it sometimes. Aidan never truly realized it, but Jade played mother to him; not the other way around. ( PM for more details. )
• Her sister, Fiona Isabella Vaux (146). Jade blames a lot of what happened on her sister. It's safe to say that she downright hates her. Despite the fact that her sister (like the rest of her family) held themselves up on pedestals and claimed to be 'decent' people, Jade knows the truth. Her sister was the reason for everything that happened; she just has a feeling. ( PM for more details. )
