just gonna stand there and watch me ( B U R N ) ... // B U T T H A T S A L R I G H T B E C A U S E I L I K E T H E W A Y I T H U R T S;;. . . . . . . . . . . It had been too long. Too long since Fabian had the taste of human blood on his lips, it was time to find someone to feed on. Though it seemed that the sun had just gone down, as Fabian rose something felt wrong. There was someone there, in his home, watching him. He could feel their eyes upon his pale skin and scanned the room to find the source of the intrusion. No one belonged in this room, no one had that right, besides maybe the dark Sorceress Thea. Though she never really seemed to enjoy visiting his crypt, he usually made his way to her domain for their little nighttime trysts. So that could only mean someone else was there. If it was Cecelia spying on him again he would tear into her like she was nothing, though, deep down, he knew he never could, not to her. She still loved him, it wasn't like he didn't know that, he just had so much fun with the sorceress as she was pulling him more and more into the darkness that surronded her. It was odd, being around someone that felt more evil than anything he had ever known, but at the same time, he enjoyed her. She was like no one he had ever known, in all his 378 years being on this earth.
Climbing slowly out of his bed, he glanced around the room, his eyes shone with a kind of flame behind them as he scanned the darkness. There was a smell there, something he couldn't quite place his finger on, and he wanted to find its location and squash the idiot who thought that they could just enter his domain like it was their own. No one did that, no one had that right, and it was time they learned their lesson. With the grace that only Fabian seemed to possess he walked slowly around the room, trying to pick up on the scent. " I know you are there, step into the light and show yourself!" One hand slowly reached for one of his beloved daggers, this one a mere nine inches long, with a sapphire encrusted hilt, ready to plunge into the heart of the intruder. If Fabian was anything, he was cautious. He wasn't the vampire king for nothing. " I shall give you to the count of three, and if you don' t show yourself I will show you what happens to those who dare enter my chambers without permission. One...Two....."

Nikolas let out a soft chuckle under his breath. It seemed the vampire king had memory problems, though there was no way in heck Nikolas would ever suggest that to the king himself. It was better to stay on his good side, not get himself killed because of a simple statement. All people of high status were the same, overly prideful and easily hurt by words. Well maybe not those of light, but they were simply weak. Nikolas enjoyed his work too much to let one little sentence destroy everything he had worked for.
Of course, Nikolas knew his dear little Sam hated his work. She was so sweet, so innocent, she hated that he was an assasin. She was always pestering him, begging him to change. It never worked though. Ever since his parents had left the two of them for dead, he had took over. It was because of his efforts that they had worked themselves back up to where they were. And Nikolas swore that if he ever found those people that called themselves his parents, he would rip them limb from limb. Poor Sam had forever been changed, and Nikolas himself was filled with a lust for other's pain as well as their blood. And so he had become an assasin, torturing his victims so he could feed off their pain. It paid well too. Of course, Nikolas fanned his own flames by thinking the vampire king might be just a slight bit afraid of him. But that was dreaming, of course, the vampire king was afraid of no one. Nikolas was just some one to do his dirty work for him.
"My apologies for frightening you, my King. You requested to see me, and I came as soon as I could. Is this a bad time? Would it be better for me to come back at a later time, My Lord?" Nikolas asked, stepping out of the shadows by the doorway so his king could see him. His voice was soft, silky. No wonder the ladies were all over him. But of course, he cared for none of them... Except maybe that one little friend of Sam's, she just seemed...different than most. But he hadn't thought about it too much, and he had a job before him, so he couldn't think about that now.

just gonna stand there and watch me ( B U R N ) ... // B U T T H A T S A L R I G H T B E C A U S E I L I K E T H E W A Y I T H U R T S;;. . . . . . . . . . . Sneer slowly falling from his face Fabian let out a breath of relief. He had known that Nikolas would be joining him this evening, yet he had let it slip from his mind. He tended to do that more often than not. Some things just weren't near as important to him as others but, he had called Nikolas for a reason. " Ah, Nikolas...you didn't frighten me, I just let it slip from my mind that you were coming, odd dreams you understand." he had been having some weird dreams as he had slept, it was rather odd, the whole world had seemed to be on fire, and in the midst of it all stood Thea and himself, it was interesting to say the least, but at the same time, a little frightening not knowing what it had meant. Sliding his shirt over his bare chest he slipped into his chair and glanced at the one across from it, merely suggesting that Nikolas take a seat. " we need to discuss your next targets my friend."
There were several, though the top of the list was the alpha of the nasty werewolves, and at the very top Dora herself. He would love to have the pleasure of doing her in himself, just to see what Thea would do if her bedmate were to kill off the one thing that was bothering her more than anything. " We need to get rid of those disgusting wolves more than anything, I can't stand the sight of them and I know full well they are trying to take me out as well as the rest of you." standing up again he began to pace the room, cracking his knuckles as he did so. He tended to do that when he was getting worked up. " Pandora is also becoming stronger each and every day, everyone can see that, its time that we start growing the army against her even more so than we have. If that means we start recruiting in places that we never thought possible then thats what we will have to do. Perhaps we can talk to Cecelia, get her to help." the little brunette beauty would be easily swayed, or so he thought, to help him with his efforts. All he had to do was woo her, and that was something he knew full well he could do.
" Is there anything you feel you need to report to me Nikolas?" he studied the blue eyes of the man in front of him, he tended to read people pretty easily, and knew that Nikolas wouldn't dare lie to him about anything. " How is your dear Sam?" he smiled thinking of Nikolas' little sister, it was interesting how much his assassin looked out for the girl. It was also good to know of something he could use if it came down to Nikolas betraying him. Which if the other vampires were smart enough, they would never do. He wan't above tying his own kind to a stake and letting them burn with the morning sun, he had done it before, and if it came to it, no matter who it was...he would do it again!

"Sam is alright. Staying out of trouble, wishing she could do the same with me. But of course, my work means everything to me, so that wouldn't ever change. The only thing to report is the fact that the last little wolf you went me after last is now dead, of course. Other than that, there is nothing new to report.
"Now, taking care of the wolves would be no problem. I could take care of him for you in no time, given you give me a little to plan, of course. Going in on nothing for someone that careful would only result in my death. As for Dora, she would take even more planning, but I could get you into there with the opportunity to strike, if that so pleases you, my King. Recruiting is not my strong point. For that, I would advise you to seek others help. What is it you would wish for me to do next, my Lord?" Nikolas asked, slouching in his seat with his hand on hiss chin. Nikolas loved serving Fabian, he got more pain in this line of work than he could ever imagine, and he enjoyed every second of it. Of course, Nikolas knew that Fabian would hurt his twin if Nikolas betrayed him, but Nik would never dream of it. Not only did he enjoy serving Fabian, he cared too much for Sam. Sam was all he had left, he would never jeopardize her safety. WIthout Sam, he was nothing, and all the pain in the world meant nothing.

just gonna stand there and watch me ( B U R N ) ... // B U T T H A T S A L R I G H T B E C A U S E I L I K E T H E W A Y I T H U R T S;;. . . . . . . . . . . Listening intently to Nikolas as he reported everything that had been going on while he was busy doing his own things, mostly that being well...make Thea happy, he nodded. " Samantha should be proud of what you are doing, you are helping one of the greatest sorceresses in existance, as well as pleasing your king, she should hold that in the highest regard, but your sister has always seemed rather....put out, by what I ask of you Nikolas. Is this becoming to much of a strain for you? Shall I hold back on the many souls I have prepared for you to torture?" running his hand through his dark hair he studied the younger vampire across from him. " I know very well that it will take more than just you to take care of both Pandora and the wolf. We will have to plan it out well...besides...I will not move on Pandora without Panthea's go ahead, so that one we can put out of our mind."
Thinking it over he licked his lips, " There are a few ideas I have up my sleeve, for the time being however, I would like for you to try to have your sister see reason. I need her to help you as much as possible, perhaps as a spy if at all possible. Also, we need to keep an eye on the others of my court, I don't trust everyone as I do you Nikolas. We need to make sure that all are on our side. If you find anyone that you suspect might not be, bring them to me...I have a lovely stake out in the courtyard thats dying to have a vampire burned on it." he sneered, his fangs glimmered in the candlelight, a fire in his eyes that showed no mercy for any that might betray him. " Trust no one Nikolas, there are always those that would betray us both, and I will not stand for it." he growled slightly under his breath, the time had come for the vampires to make their choices, and as he was the king, it was his job to lead them down the right path, this being the path that Panthea showed him was best.

Nikolas nodded. He already knew this stuff. He never trusted anyone anymore, no one besides Sam and his king. He believed Fabian needed him too much to betray him, and Sam was the one person who loved him. They were the only two Nikolas would ever think of as friends.
"Of course, my King. Sam does not like my being an assasin, but she does nothing to stop me, for she knows it is my only relief. She knows I need this, and with a little persuasion, I might be able to get her to help you. I know she is dreadfully bored working at the Blood Bar as she does. It should not take much to move her to leave work there for something better here.
"Pandora will wait as long as you wish, my King. The wolves would take planning, yes, but could be done quite efficiently, and with ease. I will keep a watch around the court for any suspiscious parties," Nikolas said. His brain began to roll over the many people in the King's court. Oh, how some of them looked upon the king. Nikolas was sure there were some that were traitors to the King. Nikolas was sure of it. An idea entered his mind, and he toyed with it a second before he said anything, his hesitation evident on his face. He could get in trouble if he said the wrong thing, but he thought his King should be aware of all the possibilities. Finally, Nikolas choose his King's protection over his own carefulness.
"My King," he said hesitantly. "Maybe, when looking to those who might not be trustworthy, we should look to those close to us. Maybe even those we had a past with? Sometimes they are the ones who betray us the quickest... I had to find that out the hard way, my King, and I would prefer for those close to you to not betray you, but you can never be too careful."
