Thank the gods that it was not a full moon, she couldn't handle it if it was, she needed to be herself, and now when she needed it the most. It had been three years, three years today since her mother had been killed, her father disappeared, and she became this....disgusting creature. Her father had always been so happy as a werewolf, but she had always been repulsed by the idea of it, and then that night...he had showed up. She didn't know who the wolf was that did it, as he was transformed at the time, but she sat in the living room of the large home her parents had once inhabited that night, along with her mother when it happened. The front door shattered into a million tiny splinters as the monster stormed his way through it, her mother had screamed, louder than Dani had ever imagined anyone could, as the beast leaped through the air, crushing her as it landed on her, ripping her throat out and then there was nothing but silence. Daniella could picture it all as if it was yesterday. The big beast turning to face her, her mothers blood dripping from its teeth to the white marble floor, her own hands had covered her mouth to keep from screaming as the wolfs big green eyes locked on to hers. It had whimpered a little, she remembered that, it hesitated....then it slowly had walked toward her, never baring its teeth at her until it stood directly in front of her, and then......
She had woken the next day, a great pain in her arm where the wolf had bit her. Then the next full moon it had happened, she transformed the first time, and it had been beyond painful. She never forgave the wolf, even to this day, she had also never forgotten what the sound of the scream her mother had let out, it still haunted her nightmares to this day. Slowly walking the streets of Garamond, she twisted her around her fingers, wondering who the wolf had been. She had never seen him since that night, and she never really understood why any of it had happened. She assumed her father had done something that had angered the wolf, perhaps while he was on his many excursions away from the home he had shared with her mother. It was rather convienant, or not, that she had been at their home that night, she had come to visit, from her own home a few small towns away, if she hadn't been there, she wouldn't have witnessed any of it, and people would have assumed her father had killed her mother, but she knew what her father looked like when he transformed, having accidently seen it once. He didn't have green eyes, he had amber ones. Though if she hadn't been there, she wouldn't be this....thing she was now. It was a double edged sword.
Sitting down on a stone bench in a small garden near the city walls, she fingered the gold locket around her neck, studying the ground in front of her. It seemed that all was quiet that night, she knew that the older wolves could change at anytime, so she was always on her guard, but tonight, she just couldn't seem to keep her focus. She was constantly hearing the screaming in her head, and it was driving her mad. Though she couldn't help but wish someone would come along and distract her, someone that could make her mind see something else, even if it was just for ten minutes, she needed a distraction, someone that could chase away the demons in her head. Dropping her head into her hands she sighed, " please stop..." she whispered to the screams and visions in her mind.
