The brooding silence of the Eastern Forest was shattered by a loud piercing scream. This scream issued from the throat of a man, who was tearing through the trees as fast as he could. The man was the epitome of sheer panic. His eyes were wide and mad with fear and there was froth on his lips. He looked like someone who had just been the lowest level of hell and back. He forced a path through close gathering trees and undergrowth with nothing more than his body, taking no heed to the deep bloody furrows caused by protruding branches. Even above the ruckus made by the frenzied man as he crashed through the undergrowth, the sound of heavy paws upon a thick carpeting of dead leaves and needles could be heard. If the man was in a better state of mind he would have realized that there was no way he could outrun the gigantic shaggy white wolf that was easily keeping pace with him, seeming even to enjoy the chase. The wolf could be described as nothing less than majestic. He stood as tall as a horse from shoulder to paw. His coat was sleek and as white as snow. He pranced along with all the authority of a king in his domain. A king who had found a thief in his treasury and would dispense quick and lethal justice. The man slammed face first into the trunk a mahogany tree and bounced backwards before keeping on running, completely oblivious to the blood running from his shattered nose. He muttered something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like a prayer, but apparently the great wolf had grown tired of the game. With a savage snarl the wolf leapt forward, and soared through the air to slam into the man from behind. The stranger went down hard and without missing a beat the wolf began tearing at the back of his neck. The man gave one last shriek of pain and horror and then was silent forever more. The wolf continued to savage him long after his death trashes, it was only when the body began to cool did the magnificent predator raise his now scarlet muzzle from the corpse. The wolf shook his great head sending droplets of blood around in all direction. He was just deciding to revert to his normal form and find a stream to clean up when the wind shifted and brought with it an unfamiliar scent. The wolf began a soft growling as it looked around trying to locate the intruder, one thing was for sure. If it was another poacher there would be hell to pay…………… Words: 444 Notes: Anyone want to play? :-) Status: Finished Outfit: click

It was one of the rare times that Collins wandered away from the safety of her lake at night. There were to many things prowling around at night that would be more than willing to grab her. But, she had gotten bored and decided that maybe tonight would be a fine time to wander around. The moon was out tonight so that was enough to give her light to walk around. Even if the moon wasn't out she knew these woods like the back of her hand. This was part of her home, her lake was a big part of the forest. Even if was a giant lake she was always nervous something bad was going to happen to her lake. It was a typical thing of a young nymph. If her lake was gone then she would be gone to. But lately, she had spent more and more time away from her lake. And she was loving it. Her travels had taken her to different cities, towns and other forests. Most of the time other nymphs were rather kind to fellows nymphs. Especially ones that were connected to bodies of water, like Collins. So it made travelling around the forests easy since Collins would knows she would have a lake, or a pond, anywhere to stay.
Collins was about to head back home when she heard some commotion in the distance. Being the curious person she was she wanted to know what was the source. Collins pushed a branch out of her way to see where the source of the noise had came from. She let out a small gasp when she saw the mangled body of a man lying in the grass. She ran over to his side but she could see that she was too late. But that didn't stop her. She knelt down next to her and looked for any sign of life. Maybe there was a crazy chance that the man would be okay. She was a nymph and she had some healing power and maybe she could help him. Unknown to her what happened to the man or why he was like this. Right now all she wanted to do was help.
Collins looked sadly down at the man. The man was already dead and there was nothing she could do now. She slowly stood up, unhappy she couldn't help the poor man. Collins started walking away from the body, she couldn't bare looking at it anymore. She looked back at the body once again and turned to start walking back home. But she spotted a large wolf who was growling. She stayed at still as she possibly could. After a moment she took a step backward, hoping she could just slowly back away from the wolf. She figured that the wolf was responsible for the dead man on the ground. As she took a step back her bare feet stepped on a small twig, breaking it. She held her breathing hoping the wolf would just keep walking.
Notes: Longer post will come next time I promise! I just wanted to get something up for this. And I will make it pretty and everything in a moment!

The Wolf stared on as a woman seemingly appeared from nowhere and ran towards the corpse at his feet. She had yet to notice him so the majestic creature took the time to take her in. She was tall and graceful, the right curves in all the right places, she had a full mane of beautiful copper locks and intense eyes that were currently furrowed with concern as she checked to see if the man was alive. She was stunning……and she was a Nymph.
The Wolf recognized the scent now, she was one of Thatulo’s children. The great white wolf watched on as the woman raised and began to take her leave before noticing him. She stiffened in alarm and tried to back away. The Wolf stared on interestedly, wondering what would happen if he reverted now. He decided to risk it. After all, she was pretty and he was bored. He needed no more reason.
The Wolf proudly stepped forward and then he began to glow. A bright blue glow that completely obscured the wolf’s figure for a few seconds. A few seconds in which the wolf began an astounding change. His limbs began lengthening while his claws receded, the fur that covered him also began to evaporate like mist in the sun, his muzzle sank back into his face, his ears shortened………in no more than a minute where a wolf once crouched now lay a tall heavily muscled shaven head dusky skin man.
As the glow disappeared the man stood up, as naked as the day he had been born but completely unabashed, his bearing suggesting that he was still every inch the majestic king and predator the wolf had been but just in another form. Drisan Darl Krine, Alpha Male of Pack Krine, wiped the blood off his mouth with the back of his hand. Then he smiled at the woman before him and inclined his head.
“Pardon the mess milady,” Drisan said in his proud deep voice. “I haven’t yet had a chance to clean up.”

Collins didn’t know what to think about the man on the forest ground. Maybe there was a reason for him being attacked. He might have stolen something or had been a criminal. Then there would have been a reason for him being killed like this. But, on the other hand this could just be a random attack. It seemed like there was more and more of those types of attacks lately. Ever since this stupid war started everyone was at each other throats. She could remember countless times people asked her what side she was on. She never knew how to respond to those kind of questions. She didn’t have a side in this war. She was apart of nature, nature didn’t have a side in war. She was only concerned about those she cared about and making sure that her lake was healthy.
As Collins' eyes met with the wolves she relaxed slightly. She did not see anger or hatred. But something else, curiosity maybe. She hope that it just meant she wasn’t going to be attacked by him. He suddenly then stepped forward and began to glow. She understood then what he was, a werewolf. Collin knew many werewolves, some of them were her most frequent visitors. She always had people stopping by her lake, she liked company. She would get lonely so she was always happy when people visited her. And the werewolves were always happy to do that for her.
There was a man who stood before her now. The fact that he was naked did not bother her in the least. It wasn’t uncommon for a nymph to be seen simply naked. They were nature, being clothed was not exactly natural. But they had learned over time and now would be more likely to wear clothing when travelling around. Collins was only wearing a simple white dress, nothing regal or lavish about it. She recognized the man as the Alpha of the wolf pack. She had only heard good things about him so she felt herself relax immediately. “Oh, it’s no problem Sir,” she said trying her best not to look back at the corpse. “ I hope you don’t find this question too rude Sir, but why did you kill this man?” she asked. If there was a reason then she would not mind. But she did not like senseless violence in the forest she lived in.
Notes: Okay I am too lazy to make this pretty atm but I will. But Collin's dress looks similar to this

Drisan ran another hand across his mouth getting rid of the last residue of blood. That was the downside of Wereing, running about as a wolf was a joy beyond joys but cleaning up and getting rid of the taste of blood was a pain in the arse. Drisan once more raked his eyes apprehensively down the nymph’s white clad figure, taking in her exquisite shape. He always wondered at that, he had yet to meet an ugly Nymph or Fairy. Were all fae by nature beautiful? Drisan considered her question, of course there was no real reason not to tell her. But there was also no real reason to tell her either. But in the end the look of earnest expectance on the Nymph’s face won him over. She looked for all the world as if she didn’t even consider that someone would ever lie to her. Drisan knew that it was a trait of most Nymphs, sequestered in their forests away from the petty races most Nymphs could afford to be gullible. “I would answer your question lady,” Drisan replied. “I slay yon man because he was poaching game that my people can ill afford to spare in this lean year. If this man,” Drisan kicked the corpse at his feet contemptuously. “Had just killed one deer and for food he would have been forgiven. Because hunger is no laughing matter and everyone must eat. But he killed several deer for nothing more than their hoofs and antlers. Such waste is unforgivable.” Drisan nodded his head and smiled lightly, hoping that the Nymph as a Daughter of Thatulo, God of Nature, would understand his point. “My name is Drisan Krine Mistress Nymph,” Drisan continued. “Alpha Male of Pack Krine. Maybe you would see it fit to share your own?” ((Don’t worry about it. As long as you keep the posts coming I’m satisfied. ))

Collins studied the man as he neared her. She had heard many things about him from other nymphs and the other werewolves that visited her. He certainly wasn’t what she expected from someone in his position of power. She had only ever met one other Alpha before and he left a very poor impression on her. He had traveling through the woods with his pack and he let them run wild. Collins had heard many stories from other nymphs beings attacked by the males of the pack. Luckily Collins had the safety of her lake to protect her from them. She had not heard anything bad like that about this Alpha though. He did a good job at keeping his pack in line. Collins had a lot of respect for him. But she did not like the sudden violence coming from him. “ I see,” she said as she listened to his story. “Food is very valuable and I have noticed a slight decrease in the food supplies. So I can understand why you took these actions Sir. But I appreciate if you could dispose of the body. Myself and other nymphs travels around these woods and I know they will not be happy to come across him” she told him, motioning back to the man.
It was true that Collins was rather naive and too trusting of people. She was on the young side for being a nymph and she was secluded off from the rest of the world. She was always in her own safe haven in the woods. She had yet to run into anything truly evil or have anything horrible happen to her. She stilled looked at life with rose colored glasses, always trying to find the good in people and situations. She didn’t believe people could be fully evil. Everyone had some amount of goodness in them, even if it was hard to find. She expected him to answer honestly to her, not only because of her innocence, but because of what she was. She was a nymph, she was part of the forest that his pack roomed around in. Her lake often gave his people water and food. It was never a smart idea to go behind a nymph’s back or to anger one. Especially if they still needed the woods. “Oh, I know who you are Sir. But regardless it is very nice to meet you.” she said giving him a smile. She wasn’t use to the very proper speech he had, not many talked to her like that. “ I’m Collins. No fancy title or anything. But I do believe many of your pack members visit my lake.” she said pointing off in the direction it was in. It was pretty hard to miss the lake, it was pretty big. “Not sure if I have seen you there before. You might have gone there before but it is rather big so I can’t be everywhere at once”

Drisan nodded his head as the Nymph spoke, he could understand her point. Maybe he should stop leave bodies leaving all over the forest, he often time forgot about the other inhabitants namely the Nymphs. It must be impolite to leave a corpse in front of one of their trees, how would he like to wake up to a stiff in front of his home first thing in the morning?
“Collins,” Drisan said, rolling the name upon his tongue after she had spoken it. “An odd name for a Nymph.” He remarked. He stretched his well defined and muscled arms over his head and yawned greatly. He had been up from dawn patrolling his forest as he had done on every third day since he had come into his Alphahood. It was now early evening. How time flew when one was hunting poachers.
“The Lady of the Lake?” Drisan asked when Collin mentioned her home. Yes he had heard of her from some of his pack mates. They said that she was a rather okay sort for a water Nymph, okay as in she did not drown everyone who ventured near her lake as some of the other Water Nymphs were wont to do.
“I’ve heard of you thought I do not venture to your lake regularly. I’m often time away from my territory for extended period of time. Perhaps you would care to show me now?” He asked with a charming smile mimicking her and waving his hand in the direction she had waved to a few seconds earlier.
