Aherdaur a land of vast beauty to anyone else but to Lailah it was home; home to many memories and secrets. Nataz had truly blessed her land that evening as the forest was awash with a silver glow and the trees seemed to share Lailah's good mood as they danced with her. For all that knew her it was evident that she was something else entirely; a free spirit, in her own little world where the trees spoke, the streams sang and everything around her was calm and collected. The elves were a peaceful race, only ever stirred when provoked, and gifted with wisdom; Lailah was rarely calm and she wasn't really bright either not in the way most expected of her. Brushing her hand over the tops of the high grass her mind was elsewhere. Much like her family the pending war had been on her mind - a pending war between two sisters. It seemed a strange concept to her that one could hate a sibling as she herself shared a close bond with her own but humans were a surprising race always unpredictable, never fully sure of their emotions, never steadfast in decisions. Smiling as the golden tips tickled her palms she turned gracefully, weaving through fluidly to no sound save for the trees shifting in the night's breeze and stream gurgling as it cut through her path. She had no plans, she never did, plans stopped you doing things, things you wouldn't have planned over if you'd have known beforehand but the blonde was a loner, a rogue, she stayed with her sister if she was looking for company but she liked solitude, she liked not bothering anyone if she could manage it.
Today proved that. Any other year she'd have happily celebrated her birthday with her parents and Liluth but the years before hadn't had the prospect of war on the horizon. There was nothing good about war and destruction, nothing joyous about lives being lost and families torn apart. This was better anyway nature didn't make her realise how old she was. Younger women were having babies, even younger were being married off and where was she? Happily sitting on the shelf destined to be a hag like her great aunt or that's what they said. Her mother's friends huddled together like a murder of crows gossiping taking her apart piece by piece they called her anti-social, unwilling, stubborn; they said worse about Lil "you'll be too far gone soon, my dear" it was the first time all evening the elf had opened her mouth following her mocking with a cackle. She'd show them eventually when she was ready. Stepping cleanly over the stream, the young girl twirled another piece of grass between her fingers "get married no time for the day, no time for pretty flowers, no time for Thatulo then where would we be? Barren land, no colour, dark and misery. Tsk time for marriage is no time for life, no time for pretty stones, no time for pretties at all. Shame, such a pity. Rather flowers than washing. No beauty in dirty socks and man-children" you were never alone if you prattled to yourself. Grasping at the shirt of her dress she lifted it up just enough for her bare feet to appear and took off through the clearing. She had somewhere to be, everyone did, there was always a destination regardless of planning, right? Life's great path set out for everyone.
She could spend time with the fairies, they were always kind to her, she could find humans to wind up, they were always amusing but instead she went looking for the one thing that went against her people and their beliefs. Something that embodied everything they scowled upon.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know When you have no goals in life what do you do? You wander. And when your ageless you have a long time to wander. Wandering is never a bad thing, you learn things, meet people sometimes have more adventures then those who have a goal. Ezael liked wandering, it meant there was no end no finish, and he was fine with it though his wandering was limited to the night. Now Ezael didn’t often come to the enchanted forest, fairies were not his favourite creatures in his books, they were so full of life and color, loud and cheery, the very opposite of vampires. He was more fond of the Elves creatures also who were immortal, never growing old.
This war though was the last thing on his mind, and he didn’t care who won. A dark Queen who wanted to bath the world in darkness was a interesting idea, a world where vampires could come out at any time of the day they wished, and he knew if the Queen of light won things would be just as they were before all of this. He neither gained or lost anything that he had. He walked quietly, like a shadow, the dagger he had made sure of that, but there was no one he was hiding from, but he was looking for someone.
Never in all his years did he make a connection with another person out side his brother. Never had he found another creature as interesting as this one, for the longest time it was just his brother, his cat and him, the idea of adding another to the mix was strange, and so was she. Maybe that was why he took the risk stepped out of his comfort zone, but he still didn’t fully trust her, she could easily leave his life as quickly as she came in. That thought was always on his mind.
Ezael stopped when he heard her running about the forest, no matter how quite Elves were he could still tell, that warm sent of blood that all living things had, the slight weight of her feet on the grass and it was not too long till he saw her. There was no mistaking her the blond hair the tattoos, the lip ring. A smirk came to his face, he never smiled only smirked. A small hint of fan could be seen.
“Well, well, well what do we have here? A pretty little girl out on her own what trouble could this cause.” Ezael stepped out of the shadows so she can see him now the smirk still on his lips. “Hello Lailah”

She was a luna ray dancing around; pale blonde hair feather light to look at like strands of spun silk, white dress embedded with crystals shimmering against the pale moon and alabaster skin flashing with every graceful movement. A perfect vision of untouched innocence to the naked eye. Lailah couldn't remember when she'd met Ezael first only that something struck her; he seemed like the loneliest person in the land. So suspicious, untrusting, charming yet she knew vampires were notoriously vicious creatures, so easily provoked yet she'd settled on his palm unafraid that at any given moment he could close his fist and crush her into fine dust "where are you pretty? Hiding again? Sneaky pretty come out, come out wherever you are. No one around, not a soul, just you and I" there was only so many times you could invite the devil for tea before he came knocking "got a secret, can you keep it? Going to lock you in my pocket" she paused her movements to look around, expecting the sound of his footsteps on the ground, for the frantic movements of nearby animals darting off into the darkness surrounding her but there was nothing just the sound of the trees ruffling with the wind and her breathing. Crestfallen, she searched around her again but just like the first it was in vain; there was nothing, he wasn't there, the flutter in her heart had been wrong when she'd ran "silly little lailah, no one here, just Thatulo" she truly loved her God, loved how skillful he was at making something new in the spring when fresh flowers sprung up from the cold ground. It was hard not to be alone when one lived in the heart of nature. Dropping down she crouched over a cluster of flowers and picked at them, plucking each one tenderly from the dirt. Liluth always appreciated the small gifts her sister took to her whether they be something so simple as a poesy of flowers or gems wrapped in intricately designed cages on strings.
The wind stirred again as a branch behind her cracked, her heart fluttering again as she wrapped the flowers together; perhaps he'd come after all and they were telling her? The trees were wise. They might not have spoke nor made their presence known but they heard everything around them they were the best secret keepers in her eyes. Not here, he'd have spoken, he knew better than to spook her. Taking off again her footsteps light on the ground but loud enough to produce a gentle, steady beat she ducked under the canopy of leaves into another branch of the forest. Clutching her flowers she slowed herself down to a careful walk, looking around,
“Well, well, well what do we have here? A pretty little girl out on her own what trouble could this cause.”
So he had been hiding? The revelation did nothing to her as she grinned seemingly into the darkness "no trouble unless you tell no trouble at all really" her remark was airy as she dropped her flowers onto the ground and took a step forward toward him "hello to you too, pretty, pretty hiding in the dark. Can't stay in Rasha's shadow" Grasping her dress up again, she walked out of the moonlight and closer to him still. Her mother would've been horrified at her openness to him but better that than a recluse. Pressing her lips to his cheek, the act nothing more than a warming, heartfelt greeting, she smiled again this time softer, less excited "would be a waste" taking his hand she stepped away, beckoning him to hold onto her and step into the silver bathed glen.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know This forest was much different then the ones closer to home, so full of life. A collective heart beat, the whole forest seemed to breath, live as if one living organism. It was so surreal, he was use to only one kind of living thing, his cat he had back at home, the feeling he got from his forest was so much more. A part of him wanted to destroy it. He never knew where this evil little thought came form, he never second guessed them, but he pushed the thought aside. Ezael knew the pretty little elf would not be happy if he did. Funny how he cared what she though, normally he only cared what his twin thought, maybe she feels the same, thinking about him, how he felt about things, someone else other then her twin to worry about.
Is this normal, emotional attachment to someone not family. It was strange, he didn’t know what to make of it.
He walked, stepping on the ground watching where he walked, how the grass sprung back up after he took a step. So much life, so much energy, so very different. Use to death, use to killing, watching blood drip plucking something from the earth and watching it die. Elves were not like that elves liked life, vampires liked death, strange little friend ship they have.
Ezael watched her, she almost glowed in the moon light. “And who would I tell? Dom? My little cat?”
He chuckled a little, “never get you into trouble.” Ezael held his hand out to her as she walked closer. “Sure I can, the shadows are what vampires like best.” Ezael closed his eyes at the kiss, her lips were warm against his cold skin. He took her hand and he stepped into the moon light, unlike a Cullen he didn’t glow his pale skin just looked paler. He looked up at the sky then to her. “Why would it be a waste?” Lailah may speak in rhyme may not make sense but she has taught him more then anyone else in this world. Lailah had nothing to gain by befriending a neurotic vampire but she didn't have anything to lose either. She'd been on the brink of being a social outcast for far too long how bad could it be to be scorned by your own race for inviting such a danger onto oneself? If anything it would only further their assumption that she wasn't quite right in the head. Perhaps they were what they both needed - Ezael needed to be shown life and Lailah needed to be shown that not everyone was as innocent as she believed them to be. The perfect counterpart to each other's flaws even if they made the most incompatible of friends if they were even that at all. Stepping back until the moon's light cast over his face she smiled up at at him. The elven race were typically taller than most but while Lailah herself was taller she wasn't as tall as the others, her body too wasn't as lean.
Powerful legs had shape to them, her waist defined between her hips and breasts; she had a more fitting figure of a bar wench spilling out of her bodice - she'd often wondered whether or not the glitch in her personality had effected her physically nevertheless he was still taller than she was and had a more dominating effect over her not that she'd make it known; it was a rarity, the elves were known for their equality. She blinked "vampires like shadows best? And now? What does my pretty like best?" His coldness never really bothered her but it seemed to suit him better than she was warm, she'd noted the look on his face at the slightest touch and figured that it was likely down to the fact that no one in their right mind would disregard personal space all that often with a vampire least of all someone warm blooded and for that she put her hand to his cheek willing him to answer truthfully with her eyes.
"You can't see when you hide yourself away in the dark. Can't see life, can't see the colours, can't see how fortunate you are, can't see how beautiful things are" it made sense to her. She couldn't bare to think of how it would feel to close yourself off from everything "I see you, in your pretty bubble but bubbles are no good, bubbles need to be popped. You're blind, you need to learn to see what my people see, what I see, what we can see. You see?" Cracking nothing short of a barely there smile she wondered whether or not he understood. Lailah wasn't exactly the easiest person to have a conversation with especially if one wasn't familiar with her verses and rhymes "you see the world in a different perspective...you're not alone. Ezael, even if you think you are" lifting their arms up she ducked underneath gracefully turning as if caught up in dance "and your eyes are pretty in the light, silly, like the colour of sky. Black and blue, night and day but now you have a moon just lacking a sun but you'll get there, get your warmth" brushing her thumb over his skin she smiled at the knowledge that underneath her palm was warmer than it had been. Dropping her hand she placed it over his chest "there's a heart in there all you have to do is remember how to use it." Stepping away from him she held his hand to the last minute before turning away from him to pick up her flowers.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Ezael needed to be shown life, being born a vampires you know nothing but death, taught to kill at a young age, that only eternal life was the only thing that mattered. Getting old and dieing, it was such a human thing to do, and if you were human you were at the bottom of the totem pole. Humans were weak, fairies were weak, the only ones that could match a vampire was a witch, elf or mutt, but mutts never mattered, vial creatures. Elves were the only creatures Ezael saw as important then vampires, even a little more since they could live in both the dark and the light. Lailah herself was light, innocence, something Ezael never experienced and found drawing. That was why he was there, with her, in the moonlight in a forest that smelt of life its self.
It was intoxicating
Looking up at the moon the pale light, a sister light to that of the sun, the only light that did not burn the skin, turning him into a pile of dust before her eyes. Blue orbs looked down at her, she was smaller, it was strange, elves were known for being tall, but he also liked her height, made her seem weaker, made her seem fragile, almost if he held her to tight he would break her. Ezael had issues with breaking things, one reason his cat was a little hell spawn that fed off blood much like he did. “Yes the shadows, we look dead in the light, we burst into flames and die in the sun.” He was blunt, candy coating words only happened when he wanted a false sense of safety. The taller vampire pondered the question, what did he like best now. He leaned a little into her hand, she was so trusting, anyone could easily hurt her. “Are you this physically open with everyone?” He avoided the question with one of his own, right now he didn’t know what he liked best. “And… I don’t know.”
Ezael watched her, listened, he didn’t know what to say. Part of him though she was half mad, the other part knew that madness also meant at times you know more then others did. He watched her pick up her flowers. “One who brings death should not see life, why we are cut off from things that the living do, doomed to the night.” At this point, he was not sure what he was saying it just all came out. “How can I see, how you see things, if I am forbidden from so much?” His questions might seem harsh but he didn’t know what else to ask. “How can I remember how to use a heart if it was hardly beating in the first place.” He took a step closer to her. “Different for a vampire made, they remember what its like, to have a life, to live, to have the sun, that’s why they cling more to their humanity, those of us born, we don’t know this, we are taught to be what we are.” Ezael stopped for a moment looked up at the sky then to her. “Are you afraid of me now?”

Lailah pondered why the forest hadn't softened him up - could he not hear the lullabies she did? Could he not sense the comforting embrace around him? She wrinkled her nose slightly at his words; she knew very well what happened to a vampire in the sun. Was she really that open with everyone? "yes," she shrugged her shoulders touching at the burst of petals in her hand "we don't have much to give people. The fairies entertain, the wolves protect...we just have ourselves. The elders are wise but us? We have nothing. We're nice by proxy; kind, trusting, affectionate - some people like that, for some that's enough. I'm sorry if it bothers you but I don't know what else I can be they don't teach us how to be friends with vampires" actually, they told them to stay away from them but he wasn't to know that. He spoke and she remained completely docile looking at her flowers before her nose crinkled and her forehead creased "you were doomed because of a human who was greedy. You had to forfeit everything for someone else yet you talk as if it's you personally. You're not forbidden from seeing you just think it so. You cut yourself off. Martyrdom tsk!" he was stepping forward and she instinctively stepped back at the same pace as him.
Why? because for half a second she thought that this could've been it. He could snap her like a twig under her foot and flowers weren't weapons despite the nagging feeling that he wouldn't "you have a life," she didn't quite understand him because in her eyes he did. He was free to do as he pleased, talked to whoever he liked; that was more of a life than the slaves had "you're free to come and go as you please, you rule under a King too busy caught up in a sibling war to care about his people, you don't have to make choice. That, in my eyes, is a life and life is a heartbeat. Yours might not work like ours, it might not flutter and skip beats, but it can certainly work"
Gazing up at him she shook her head slightly though her words were taking a moment or two to form and slip passed her lips "I have nothing to be afraid of, Ezael, we don't fear death or, at least, I don't. If I die I go back to nature. I give back to my home. I'd only ever be disappointed; disappointed that it was you, and disappointed that it was I who brought along such an early death" she could talk all she liked, lace her words how she saw fit, but that didn't stop the itch in her feet telling her to go, to run, to run through the forest where he'd get lost, go back to her family where she'd be safe. Lailah didn't move an inch toward home only tucked her flowers into the front pocket of her dress. While running would've been the perfect getaway plan it would take him as much time to lash out and snap her neck than it would for her to take a single step away from him.
Tilting her head off to the side she gave him the once over. What would Liluth do? Question him perhaps? "I can pretend to be afraid of you, pretend that I'll do anything for you, beg, plead with you that you don't want to hurt me" she paused "you're not going to do it, my lovely, not now, maybe soon, but not now, not here, not like this. Are you?" She stepped closer to him, a whisper between them, "not even if I promise to scream, to writhe under you, to gasp at the slightest measure of pain" smirking she lifted herself up on her tip toes, mouth lingering by his ear, breath hot on his neck "double dare you to call my bluff, pretty" stepping away from him she looked surprisingly serene her supposed lack of sanity certainly up for debate again. Was she truly that messed up in the head? Or was it all some elaborate plan? "Double dare you to make me scream"

words 836 tagged Minnie music none comment I haven‘t written this much in a long time The forest did soften him up, he was more willing to listen to understand, if he was anywhere else with someone else he would have killed them by now with how this conversation was going, but Lailah was something else in this world, and this forest had its own heartbeat that was comforting to Ezael. She was honest, no lies, spoke what she though even if it came out in a round about way, back home it was secrets and lies, sometimes Dom didn’t share much with him. “It doesn’t bother me, I was just wondering, because I’m not use to it.” He felt like an ass how his words came a cross but what she said next surprised him. “We are friends?” No one ever said they were friends with him, the only friend he had was Dom, but he didn’t could they were twins they had to like each other. Ezael stopped walking when she took a step back, part of her was scared, part of her knew he was a monster under the make up and leather. It kind of hurt after calling him a friend. Emotional pain was something he wasn’t use to because he never let anyone close. “Martyrdom, strange, thought it was fitting being forsaken, we are all cursed, even if a human was the one to start it, sure we pay for his sins, but we have sins of our own, we kill, and we don’t have to, I’ve killed when I didn’t have to, because I liked it, took another’s life for no reason other then it pleased me, you can not tell me that I don’t deserve some of this.”
She was right, she was right and Ezael knew it. Life didn’t have to be measured by the beat of a heart, it was how you lived it, how anyone lived it. He was not bound to a king as slaves were, he didn’t have to fight for two siblings who didn’t see eye to eye. “Lailah, your right, just never saw it like that, maybe because deep down I envy what you have, to have a heartbeat, to enjoy the sun, too busy looking at what I don’t have instead of what I do, quite human of me.” Admitting he was wrong and that she was right was not hard, being right was not something he had to be. Talking to her made him think, see things different, no one else would do that.
Ezael watched her how she looked up at him, listening to her talk, a small smile came to his face, she didn’t quite understand him, he didn’t ask if she was afraid of death, but of him, because she knew what he could do, but no, told him she didn’t fear death, just would be disappointed. He didn’t know how he felt about disappointment from her or anyone, it was just something that happened. The next things she said made tingles go down his spine, the ideas she put in his head were taunting, and he could easily make it happen. His eyes closed at the closeness the hot breath on his skin, the heat he felt from her. He bit so hard that he tasted the salty and metallic blood that seeped slightly from his lip before it healed. Blue eyes opened as she stepped away it took all the control he had to not grab her and keep her still. His fingers twitched at the last word she said ‘scream’
What game was she playing, opening thoughts and idea, making this whole meeting one of growth to turn it all around, taunt him like that. The smile became a sneer and he used the speed all vampires had to be behind her. “Don’t make dares like that, especially when I am trying to be nice, its rare that I am nice, see, I like you Lailah, hate to do something that I might regret doing.” he leaned in his head beside hers his cold breath on her skin, his hands placed on her hips. His touch was light, just strong enough to keep her there but not to hurt her. “I would love to make you scream, but that was not what I meant when I asked if you were afraid of me, but when you took that step away I knew deep down you were.” His lips were a feathers touch away from her next sharp teeth grazed lightly over her skin. “Is this really a dare you want to make? Is your life worth a dare?” Ezael pulled back let her go and was a meter away hidden under the shadows of the trees. “Could make you scream another way, strip you naked and have my way with you, could turn you, make you like my brother and my self, take you back home and away from this forest. I like that idea the most, because then you won’t be dead, you would be just like me.”

Were they friends? "I like to think we are otherwise we're just two strangers in a perfect setting talking about something we're likely to forget and that's nowhere near as fun as this" she could lie to herself enough that it wouldn't have made much of a difference if he said they weren't really friends. She was ironic in that sense but at least he didn't have to be disappointed "just because it appears so doesn't mean it's right, pretty," she shrugged her shoulders, tossing her hair over her shoulder but the flinch at his words were unstoppable "we're all sinners but I suppose you do," she fingered at her dress pensively "but every action deserves consequence in the end." The blonde nodded, smiling softly as the realisation struck her though the sun was nothing to be envious about especially when it burned you "exceptionally human of you. Guess it's not so foreign to you after all, no?" Such a strange pair of creatures. So very strange.
It was odd- madness even- that she still poked and prodded at any resolution he had not to hurt her, not to tear her apart, but it came so easily, so easily birthed from whatever warped fantasies she had buried beneath her skull "if you'd regret it, you wouldn't do it, you're not careless enough to not think ahead. If you were about snap decisions I'd be dead, you'd be well fed, and this wouldn't be happening, lovely" it had all the front of a fact but the soft undertones of her questioning it, questioning whether or not she said as true. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Maybe, just maybe, she was dancing on the thin line between life and death and putting far too much faith in him. Lailah didn't dare shift; for him or for her own selfish reasons she wasn't sure she'd never been put in any situation remotely similar to this and highly doubted she would be again.. not in this lifetime at least. The Elves were so clean cut they gave whatever was needed without hesitation but him, and her, they seemed to torment and toy. Her innocence might have been appealing to him but the darkness he invoked stirred something else in her entirely but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Perhaps it was the reason they were told to stay away, perhaps they're weren't meant to mingle simply because they couldn't without colliding. Questions, never answers. Her eyes flitted down to his hands, the soft flesh protected by pristine material, material stopping his fingers soiling her in a way no one else had "there's no sound of satisfaction in your voice but you are, aren't you? Don't you glory in fear?" His touch was enough but his breath on her throat, his teeth on her skin, it caused her to tremble and she did, shamelessly, under his grip "seeing you stripped of your facade is" her words came out as they always had with him; truthfully. There was no defining shade of grey between them, no space for lies, "see you as you are without the tenderness my mind allows you" pulling her eyes away she met him at her eyeline "would you cry for me if you knew this was it? The epilogue is the saddest part."
She stood rigid for a second when he moved away from her deciphering her next move and the possible outcome because of it but his words threw a spanner in the works. Lailah looked over her shoulder curious as to if he was being facetious (albeit inappropriately so) but he looked serious. No smirk, no shadow of jest on his mouth at all. Turning to face him her face was nothing more than a flat plain. How was she suppose to reply to that? "I prefer neither. You're no thief of virtue. Life, certainly, but not that and I implore you never to speak of it in such a crass way and reserve it for a lover's ear instead" Lailah ended it was a gentle huff to keep her words as dignified as they were meant to be. Hitching up the hem of her dress away from her feet, sure that if she didn't she'd trip, she glanced to the welcoming forest "you'd take me back as a slave, I can promise you that, bound by a ball and chain around my ankle. I'd be nothing at all like you save for blood." Giving him a fleeting glance she walked into the shadows straight passed him without another look "I'd rethink coming here again, Ezael, you're now no more welcome than the company your kind keep."

He saw the flinch, maybe they were too different to be friends. “Then maybe I do, and maybe its because of the punishment that I keep doing it?” Rhetorical question, he didn’t expect an answer in return it was more to his own ponderings hen directed to her. “Maybe it isn’t.” He shrugged it off.
It seemed even in her own madness she could read him like a book, over the years had he become so easily transparent. “Too old for snap decisions, and I have done things I regret, why I regret them, because I did them, everyone does have a point, the thresh hold between doing something they regret or just walking away.” He could kill her, right there, but he couldn’t, he liked her, they were friends, friends don’t kill friends, why his touch was light, why his teeth never pierced her skin even with the taste of blood still in his mouth. Elves, wise beings, close to humans but with out that fear of death or disease. If it wasn’t for his own faults, for the things he did maybe they could be close instead of him keeping people at an arm length away. Lailah was finally seeing it, seeing who and what he really was. No lies he told, no lies she told her self. And he regretted it, he felt the pain in his heart, a pain he had felt before for some now faceless girl. He felt her tremble and heard her words but he could not answer not yet. The truth hurt, why often he dabbled in lies, how could something so truthful live in this world. “There is no satisfaction, I do glory is fear, but only when it comes from prey, sometimes, you wasn’t someone around who doesn’t fear you.” He closed his eyes. “All things come to an end, even if you don’t want it too.” He avoided the crying , he didn’t know if he would or not, and he was to proud to say he would.
It was back to the darkness away from the light of the moon, the light of Lailah, in a way he sealed his fate with her, his words were cruel and he knew she didn’t deserve it, she was right, again he wasn’t that. She was always right and that caused him to just stand there and just think over his words, her answers to those words. Blue eyes watched her, she was going to leave, and he would be alone, so much for being friends, but he should have knew that with what he did. “Not a slave…” He mumbled to him self. Ezael would not keep her locked up, she could go where she pleased, see what she wanted to see. He winced a little at her words he moved to grab her keep her there but he didn’t. “I keep you as company… thought we were friends?” He sounded lost, confused, “you… miss understood, see, taunted, caused an out burst.” Now he was going frustrated, he didn’t know what to say or do so he just shut up and turned to leave. Anger was the easiest emotion to death with, easier then the others. “Fine, I will leave, never come back.” This is why he kept people at an arms length, because they hurt you, women should be kept at an arms length, his mother taught him that lesson, and Lailah was just another lesson to learn.
