Although Efrain knows the names of his father and mother, but he never really knew them. At a young age he was taken away to begin instruction. He was a very bright student, though. Quickly picking up on the key points of serving, namely following instructions, not asking questions, and only being told once. As a slave he was wonderful, never thinking for himself, always doing just what he was told and eagerly awaiting the day he got to serve someone, already devoting himself to this nameless master or mistress. That was how Thea found him, waiting and eager to please in any way she desired.
